The club was formed in 1952 and was called 'Exeter Dolphins'. When the BSAC was formed in 1953, the club became a member. The early club was very keen on spear fish ing as well as diving. The club later amalgamated with John 'Webber Scuba Club' to become Exeter BSAC. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2002, with some of the founder members as guests.
