What's on next,

Club dives are fun and open to all certified divers, even if you trained with another agency. Non-club members are very welcome to dive as a visitor a limited number of times (3).

If you've not dived in a while, we will arrange a refresher pool session before you go back into the sea. If you are new to UK diving, then you'll be with an experienced buddy.
These dives are an easy shore dive with lots to see, followed by a good cafe brunch (vegetarian choices are available). It's a 'dive for fun' at a relatively easy site. It's perfect if you've been out of the water for a while, or just want to practice with unfamiliar kit. More info from Sally Richards, Andy Laird or via the club Contact page.

They are easy, safe dives, and go on all year round. Use the contact page if you want more details.

Next club dive Sunday 1st March

Club (shore) dives – are usually on the first Sunday of every month. Occasionally this is changed because of weather or tide times. It’s a local shore dive followed by an (optional) brunch.

These are fun dives, and all are welcome. Non-club members can dive free of charge as a visitor (up to 3 times), provided you’re a certified diver. If you’ve got all the kit – fantastic, but if you haven’t, then our club has some training kit that can be used (small hire fee is payable). If you’ve not been in the water for a while, then we can easily do a pool session to refresh your skills. Use the contact form to get in touch. .

WINTER   DIVE  TALKS  (FREE, even to non-members)

Friday February 27th at 7:30pm.

Dive kit & how to save a dive. Andy L will give loads of helpful hints – setup, maintenance, repairs, tricks, cheats, plus preventing and solving kit problems. Make your gear last longer and have less equipment trouble. All divers welcome (even if you’re not a club member)

Friday 6th March at 8pm

Our Fire! Street SAC are going to talk about their fire, and how it affected them. It’s very kind of them to come over, for there could be lessons to learn from this (unfortunate) event. Everyone welcome (even if you’re not a club member)

Friday 27th March at 8pm

Video evening of dive dramas! As a follow up to their recent talk, Nik and Petra will show videos of dives that ‘went wrong’. Lots of silly, and not so silly things we can learn from. The videos show some obvious problems, and Nik and Petra will help us work out how to avoid them. Everyone welcome (even if you’re not a club member)

NEW**.   Kit hire

From 13th June 2025 the club has altered its’ kit hire fees.

Exeter BSAC Members  £3.50 per item (up to a maximum of £21).    Non-Members  £5.00 per item (up to a maximum of £30)

Also, because we are a busy club, members have priority on dives, so visitors are now limited to only 3 (free shore*) dives with the club.      (* kit hire charges apply).

BOAT  DIVES. –  the boat was used a lot in 2025. It’s away for the winter at present, but the next dive schedule will be published just before Easter 2026.

Weather permitting …… there’s usually someone diving midweek – and certainly at weekends. These are usually shore dive – which are very easy and keep the costs down. Some club members manage over 100 dives every year, and we’re lucky to have several good local dive sites. Exeter BSAC has Facebook and WhatsApp groups to help people find buddies. If conditions are good, then we simply go and dive 🙂
